Within the framework of enhancing joint cooperation between scientific research centers and government agencies, exchanging information and experiences in the field of fisheries and biodiversity, and supporting the field of fishing and aquaculture, University of Khorfakkan signed a memorandum of understanding with Sharjah Fish Resources Authority, on behalf of the university His Excellency Prof. Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Shamma’a, the Chancellor, and on behalf of the Authority His Excellency Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazien, Chairman of the Authority. The terms of the memorandum stipulate cooperation in supporting and developing scientific research and specialized studies in the fields of fisheries, Aquatic biology and biodiversity, exchanging data and statistics and providing access to facilities between the two parties, in addition to providing joint practical and specialized training, and providing scientific and administrative consultations, to achieve the strategic objectives desired by the two parties, provide suitable job opportunities for graduates of the college of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology, and work to implement joint programs, events and scientific forums to enhance communication between university students and the authority's experts, and cooperate in providing the needs of community members and raising the efficiency of educational, training and empowerment services through joint contribution and community service initiatives. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ali Hilal Al-Naqbi, Vice Chancellor and his accompanying delegation, and from the Authority's side, Mr. Marwan Al-Hammadi, Director of the Legal Affairs Office, Mr. Salem Al-Kdeed, Director of the Support Services Department, Ms. Maryam Al-Naqbi, Director of the Health Permits and Control Department, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Tunaiji, Director of the Information Technology Department, Eng. Abdullah Al-Midfa, Information Technology Executive, Dr. Abdullah Shuhail, Project Manager., Ms. Aisha Al-Hammadi, an aquarist specialist, Ms. Sheikha Al-Ketbi, a quality officer, and Ms. Amna Al-Mazmi, administrator at the Office of the Chairman.
