Welcome to University of Khorfakkan

The university is located in the city of Khorfakkan, in the Emirate of Sharjah, on the eastern coasts of the United Arab Emirates, the city is one of the most popular tourists destination, mainly to enjoy its heritage and historical landmarks, picturesque atmosphere and diverse terrain. The city of Khor Fakkan won the award for the best Arab tourist destination for the year 2023, within the activities of the Berlin Tourism Exchange in Germany, beating major cities and capitals.

University of Khorfakkan was established in 2022 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University, a non-profit scientific institution affiliated with the Government of Sharjah and licensed by the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates, the university hosts the first college at the state level specialized in teaching marine sciences and aquatic biology, which offers an integrated academic program specializing in the study of the seas and deep oceans, as the city of Khor Fakkan, with its mountain range intertwined with the waters of the Gulf, is considered an integrated artistic painting created by nature, making it the ideal place to achieve one of the university’s most important goals in studying issues related to the marine environment and aquatic biology, that in cooperation with the British University of Exeter according to an agreement between the two parties, in addition to a variety of literary and scientific academic programs.

The campus consists of three main buildings comprising four colleges and more than 11 academic programs at the graduate and undergraduate levels, to advance the education sector in the UAE, and enrich the field of scientific research with applied scientific research and studies according to international standards that serve the community, as it is equipped with the latest educational technologies and solid infrastructure that will attract prominent academics in multiple fields, in addition to attracting distinguished students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
