For Sustainable Community Development MOU between UKF and Khorfakkan Municipal Council

Out of keenness to consolidate cooperation with various institutions and government agencies in the region, and to support the social and cultural progress of society, University of Khorfakkan (UKF) signs a memorandum of understanding with the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, signed by His Excellency Prof. Ahmed Al-Shamma’a, Chancellor of the University, and by His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al-Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council. The MoU aims to enhance joint cooperation in meeting the needs of community members, raising the efficiency of educational, training and empowerment services provided through achieving institutional partnership initiatives and community service between the two parties in community and educational field, developing knowledge exchange, advisory and training experiences in order to achieve mutual benefit, in addition to cooperation in the implementation of joint programs and events, forums and conferences that discuss and review the latest developments and best practices in various fields, exchange studies and applied scientific research toimprove the quality of institutional work and achieve the strategic objectives of both parties. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ali Hilal Al-Naqbi, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Suleiman Mahmoud, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Mrs. Sheikha Al-Naqbi, Vice Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and from the Council, Dr. Suhail Ali Al-Naqbi, Vice Chgairman of the Municipal Council , Mr. Youssef Shaheen Al-Raisi, Member of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, Mr. Abdullah Suleiman Al-Hammadi, Acting Secretary of the Municipal Council, and Professor Bashayer Saeed Al-Hantobi, Rapporteur of the Municipal Council.
