In the presence of Professor. Ali Hilal Al-Naqbi, Vice Chancellor of University of Khorfakkan (UKF), on the occasion of International Archaeology Day, the College of Arts, Science and Information Technology organized a scientific symposium to explore the Latest Developments in Archaeology, which showcased the best practices in the field of archeology in various countries around the world, the latest trends supporting the study of archeology and the preservation of archaeological discoveries, were presented as well, with the participation of a number of scientists and specialists in the field of archeology from inside and outside UAE. The symposium dealt with a variety of scientific axes, where His Excellency Essa Yousef, Director General of the Sharjah Archaeology Authority, gave an introductory overview of "The Role of the Sharjah Archaeology Authority in Archaeological Discoveries", and Professor Ahmed Mohammed from Durham University in the United Kingdom participated in the definition of "Ethnoarcheology and its contributions to archeology", and Prof. Atta Al-Manan Jaafar, Dean of the College of Arts, Science and Information Technology at UKF, discussed "the most important physical techniques for the study of archeology", in addition to the participation of Professor Ziad Morsi from the Center Marine Archaeology at Alexandria University on "Marine Archaeology and Technological Applications Used". The seminar was attended by a number of faculty and administrative staff members and students and concluded by honoring the participants and contributors.
