UKF participates in the activities of UAE Innovation Month

28th February 2023, University of Khorfakkan participated in the activities of UAE Innovation Month (UAE Innovates 2023), which underscored the vision of the country’s leadership to promote the culture of innovation. This goes In line with the University’s’ strategic plan to support and empower creative minds and give them the opportunity to apply their ideas and turn them into innovative projects that benefit society. Under this framework, students from college of Arts, Science and IT participated with “SMART PLANT” project, which was awarded the third place. The SMART PLANT project is automated with the aim of optimizing wastewater treatment, resource recovery, energy-efficiency and reduction of greenhouse emissions using Artificial Intelligence and sensors. The project was presented by Ikhlas Abdullah Al-Naqbi, Rasha Ali Al-Naqbi, Jamila Rashid Al-Matroushi, Maitha Jamal Al-Mazrouei,, and Mr. Younis Yusuf Ali.
