University of Khorfakkan has recorded a significant global research achievement aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The University attained a Relative Activity Index (RAI) score of 7.6 out of 10 for Goal 14: Life Below Water, compared to the global benchmark score of 1 for the same goal—underscoring the University’s research excellence and scientific leadership in environmental and marine studies. This milestone reflects the impactful scientific efforts led by the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology and Sharjah Marine Science Research Centre (SMSRC). Through specialized research addressing coastal ecosystem protection and the impacts of climate change on marine life, the University continues to advance national and global sustainability priorities.
